COVID-19: Update 3/23

Torrington Public Schools recently extended the cancellation of on-campus classes through April 21.  Students will not return until at least April 22.  TCA will follow this same schedule and will be “closed” (on-site) until then.

The following activities on the TCA calendar have been cancelled and will not be rescheduled:

  • Iowa Testing (Mar. 31-Apr. 1), Gifts & Talents Night (Apr. 9)
  • Spring Program was originally moved from May 12 & 19 to May 28, but has now been cancelled.

The following activities have not been cancelled, but are currently under a “wait-and-see” status:

  • High School Formal (May 8), Awards Nights (May 29 & June 2)
  • Commencement (June 5) – we will update you regarding these events as their status becomes clearer.

The end of the third marking period is this Friday, March 27.  It is very important, therefore, that students are completing the work assigned by their teacher(s), as work assigned for last week and this week will count toward their third quarter report card grades.

As we are continuing to move forward in the education program of our students during their time away from TCA, Spring Break will still be treated as a student holiday, with no new work being assigned for those days. Students would only need to work on any outstanding, uncompleted assignments during that time.

Established in 1978, Torrington Christian Academy has been bringing affordable, exceptional faith-based PK-12 education to Litchfield County for over 40 yrs.
